The 99 names of God (Arabic: اَلأَسْماَءُ الْحُسْنَى, Al-Asmâ ul Husnâ / The Most Beautiful Names) are the names derived from verbs or adjectives attributed to Allah in the Qur’an and hadiths in the Islamic faith, or used directly to refer to God.

Belief: In the Islamic faith, it is repeated a certain number of times and is used in cures for the evil eye and witchcraft, or for the acceptance of prayers. In the Islamic society, the names of God are not limited to these 99 names. There are many other names such as Shafi, Kafi, Hannan, Mennan, Hadi (from Persian Huda).

Allah: It is considered the special name of the Creator, and other names are attributed to Him. When it is said ‘Allah is forgiving and merciful’, the verbs of these names and attributes are also attributed to Him and used as ‘Allah has mercy’ or ‘May Allah have mercy’.
